BetterLegal ($90 a year)

The lowest published number in the table belongs to BetterLegal, and we say it without squirming: $90 a year is less than we charge. Their first-year billing terms were not something we could verify, so treat $90 as the planning figure and read their order screen carefully before you pay.

Rocket Lawyer ($125 a year)

Rocket Lawyer's price refuses to wobble: $125 a year at whichever membership tier you inspect, and no first-year discount turned up in our check. Steady pricing earns respect. What the money buys is one feature of a sprawling legal subscription, worthwhile if the document library and attorney access appeal to you, and mostly unused square footage if an agent is all you need.

ZenBusiness ($199 a year at renewal)

ZenBusiness deserves its software reputation; nothing else on this page looks or works as nicely. The billing deserves a harder look. A standalone agent purchase opens at $99 plus state fees, then the renewal lands at $199 a year. The small number recruits and the large number collects, so run your comparison against $199.

Bizee, formerly Incfile ($149 a year standalone)

Form your LLC through Bizee and the agent service tags along at no charge for 3 to 12 months, depending on which package you buy, which is genuine value if formation was already the plan. On its own the service costs $149 a year, and that is exactly the bill that starts once the free months expire. Calendar the end date the day you enroll.

LegalZoom ($249 a year)

LegalZoom is the name your neighbor has heard of, and for some owners that familiarity is worth paying for. The payment is $249 a year, flat, auto-renewing, with no first-year discount found, and it stands as the highest flat rate anywhere in our table. At least you know precisely what the premium buys: the logo.

Swyft Filings ($149 every quarter)

Swyft charges $149 per quarter, and the multiplication is the whole story: roughly $596 a year once annualized, with no distinct first-year discount found in our check. Nothing about the service itself explains that figure; the billing cadence simply keeps it from being noticed. Compare on the yearly number and Swyft compares poorly.

Inc Authority (no published renewal)

Inc Authority hands you year one for $0 and goes quiet about year two. We hunted for the renewal in their FAQ, on the package pages, and across the homepage, and it is published nowhere; the figure apparently arrives at checkout or on a phone call. A recurring charge you cannot see before buying is the exact habit this page was written to flag, which is why they close out the list.

Switching Registered Agents Is Free in Arkansas

Now for the best consumer fact in Arkansas business filings: leaving an agent you regret costs nothing. The state's statement of change, the Notice of Change of Registered Agent Information authorized by Ark.
